His granddad owned a machine shop on Anderson Ave. (now Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.) and his father was a chiropractor in Immokalee before returning to teaching along with Dr. Bryant’s mother.

Dr. Bryant graduated from Riverdale High School in 1994. Dr. Shelly King was born in Maine and moved to Fort Myers with her parents when she was 8 years old. Dr. Shelly graduated from Cypress Lake High School in 1993.

Our Background

Dr. Bryant and Dr. Shelly met at Edison Community College in 1994 and have been married since 1997. They both received bachelor degrees in biology at the University of Central Florida. They graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry . in 2001 (Dr. Bryant) and in 2003 (Dr. Shelly).

In 2003, the two moved back home to Fort Myers and began working as dentists. In 2004, they purchased the practice that they now run. This location was the previous office of Dr. Hendry who relocated to Metro Avenue and then Dr. Srabian, who the Drs. King bought the practice from. In 2007, they expanded the office to double its previous size in order to better accommodate two dentists.

Dr. Bryant and Shelly King currently have 5 children. Though they have let their license go, they previously were foster parents. This unexpectedly resulted in several adoptions. Dr. Shelly works at the office while the kids are in school and takes off when they are out of school in order to care for them. While work and children take up almost all of their time, Dr. Bryant does enjoy collecting reptiles in his spare time.

Dr. Shelly King graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2001. Dr. Bryant King graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2003. They are both members of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the Lee County Dental Society. Dr. Bryant King finds occasions to do voluntary dentistry from time to time although less so recently as their family has grown. They participate in continuing education as part of the maintenance of their dental licenses. Dr. Bryant King recently joined a local chapter of The Seattle Study Club with other local dentists to stay on top of the latest developments and techniques in dentistry.
